Daniel J. Herron, Jr.
Daniel Herron, President and Founder of Herron & Associates, an investment banking firm established in 2004 to serve the transportation and logistics industry, is a respected leader and trusted advisor with a record of successfully executing M&A transactions. Mr. Herron has participated in numerous M&A deals for entrepreneurs resulting in more than $400 million of enterprise value. Herron has built strong relationships with business owners, private equity firms, banks and strategically motivated buyers in the air and ocean freight forwarding, expedited trucking and third-party logistics services sectors.
Prior to Herron & Associates, Dan was a Shareholder, Director and Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Seko Worldwide, a $320 million, non-asset based international freight forwarder and logistics service provider. His accomplishments include the build-out of the national sales organization and expansion into more than 50 markets worldwide. Herron's contributions resulted in an M&A transaction with USFreightways in 1998.
Mr. Herron is a graduate of St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA and is an active participant in the Airforwarders Association, Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, National Customs Brokerage & Forwarders Association of America, and Transportation Intermediaries Association. Herron is a Chartered Merger and Acquisition Professional (CMAP) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
